The only time I'm check-calling is when I'm pretty sure I'm in a way ahead / way behind situation against a player aggro enough to try to bluff me off a better hand no matter what he holds. There are also some players where I am experimenting with a check-call, check-raise line. These need to be players who will bet both streets almost 100% of the time, so it doesn't happen that often. I have two guys that I use this line against right now. When they adjust I'll probably revert back to check-raising the flop against them. Of course, I need to be quite sure I'm ahead of their range.
