If I don't scare you off and I win, you will think I lit your money on fire. I have cashed in 2 out of 10 live tourneys with buy-ins of $500 or more and 1 out of 7 WSOP events. If it was random chance, I should cash in about 1 out of 10. Therefore, I should go 0 for 3 on this trip. ;) One of my backers is the janitor in my building. He is fascinated by poker and is convinced I am a genius. I really don't think he can afford to lose $100, so I'm going to have to lie and tell him I broke even or something if I lose. Obviously, backers are -EV for me. I think at work they like to do it in the same way people would give you $20 and tell you to bet it on 27 on the roulette wheel or something.
