    Could be...

Looking at my little list of notes on this game Steve has got the shortest list of notes of anyone.

BB is not his usual useful self by any stretch of the imagination...

Of course that would make suited Jock innocent, which would bother me.

Can't be. Well, it can. In which case. . .

Nside - has anybody in THIS forum pegged the 3rd wolf as a highly probable bad guy?

If my cohorts are smart they be going after some of the players that are NOT likely to be suspected by the town, thereby closing in on the wolf from 2 directions. The hard part will be staying away from the angel.

    Ummm...

oh lord, surely you two aren't talking about irishiain?

I see he did a lot of kidding around with bugs in the early game, and double-teamed Evv with him...

If that is the case i fear for the innocents again...

Actually I'm beginning to look at Irish as the third wolf. I was just going over his posts, and it's definitely possible. Plus this line caught my eye. He has a pretty good sense of humor and I could see this if he was wolf:

"Maybe I'm just bloodthirsty or something." this is on page 17

I seriously doubt that the innocents will win this game. There is an outside chance that the wolves can get a tie, or even a win.

But if the current Don has his wits about him he should be able to narrow the 3rd wolf down to 1 of a maximum of 4 players. Evv's posts can be very helpful here.

If they stay away from anyone who's been mentioned for a possible investigation they can narrow it to 3 max. I have to try and figure out who they'll hit tonight.

Spoonie is the vigilante!! Look at his avatar, he already has his guns drawn. :)
  1.
I'm pretty sure that the third wolf has been discussed here, but I don't think they are in the lead. I think the town will work it out eventually. I don't think the wolves have a chance. It will be mafia/town in the end and I'd give the edge to the mafia at the moment.

Here's a puzzle for you. Let's assume that the mafia guesses the thrid wolf. Is it really in their interest to kill them?

Dreamchaser is a terrible waste of an investigation if that's who mxrider is going to check out. He's an innocent pure and simple.

No - and I discussed that in the den with them before I left. If they listen. And least not immediately considering the current situation.

The third wolf is, 95+% certain one of two people (always leave a little room for error). Although I could still be wrong. But looking at the current posts in the thread I'm becoming more comfortable with my choice of Irish. He's acting like he's going to be lonely and unsure of himself once nut is gone.
  2.
I think Dreamchaser is obviously innocent too. I suppose there was a small chance that he was the seer, but MX knows better than that. MX is acting as if Dreamchaser CLAIMED to be the seer, but I don't think that was his intention at all.

The wolf strategy becomes interesting now. They need to focus on the angel now, but I don't think that the angel has tipped their hand at all.

Its a bit unfortunate that the bad guy characters were so high-profile. Bugs, Nutjob and Pizza all three baddies. A less well-known player has a better chance to survive.

Which is why I wasn't that concerned about Nut. I wasn't worried about him being in the game as long as I was there. Once I was gone I wanted them to take Nut out ASAP and see what would happen in the semi-leadership vacuum that would develop. We're now seeing the answer to that to a large extent, although it will eventually sort itself out.

the mafia should now be focusing on cutting down any effective leadership that rears it's head.

The easiest way to get the leadership is not to force it, let it come to you. If anyone shows up as a leader before that happens you cut them down creating a new vacuum. Eventually the vacuum will be filled by you in a natural fashion as people turn to you for advice (depending on who you are). In this case that will happen, sooner or later.

The real key is to keep the town in a state of FUD. FUD leads to confusion and mayhem. Which is a good thing.
  4.
Nutjob is going to go out with a bang, I think.
  5.
The third member of your gang might be the last one left standing. There are a number of different scenarios. A lot depends on how quickly the town finds the last wolf or if the wolves hit another mobster.

wolves hitting mobster is the one I'm more worried anbout. Given the current state of the town I don't see either of them being lynched any time soon
  6.
One of them might look angelic to the wolves, you know.

I think I left them in great shape. And if anyone finds any honest clues in any of my posts I'll be very surprised. There might be some if you really reach, but I think they'd have to reach pretty far.

The closest they might come will be in the descriptions in my list, but even there I don't think there's anything they can grab for sure. Especially given that half my list is blank.
    • CommentAuthorBugsBunny
    • CommentTimeJun 24th 2006

Yes I know that very well. That scenario is the biggest argument in favor of taking out the remaining wolf.

    • CommentTimeJun 24th 2006

Of course if the mob gets a kill on the angel, while intentionally avoiding the wolf that would be great. 2 nights of a double kill would almost be enough. 3 would be golden, after that I think they can take him out for sure. But the risk increases each night.

Question, is the wolf kill still good on the night he gets killed? Or is that a random event?

Hmmm, maybe the Lone Wolf hit something angelic? hope hope hope... or maybe the mafia did. hope hope hope ... BTW, you guys owe me a BIG THANK YOU for the Angel kill....

Sorry Angel, here I am always trying to make you dead! ; - )
  10.
Nah. I decicded that the votes to lynch you would stand. If they didn't, they should probably turn into "lynch no one" votes. It doesn't make sense to just cancel the votes completely. Does that mean that none of them voted and they will die tomorrow?

Plus, my goal as a moderator is to think of every way to prevent these kinds of cheap tricks from working anyhow. ;)
