What odds Fatshaft takes out bb88 tonight?

Although TP left one small clue that he was the angel today, wonder if fatshaft picked up on it?

I don't think he goes for bb unless he thinks bb is the angel. Better chance he takes out TRK based on some stuff Nut said.

Ok then, I wonder what odds on TP pulling a Bugs and protecting a random, seeing as the wolves clearly arent going for MX, whilst fatshaft, in an act of desperation, goes for MX?

    Unlikely I guess, but possible.

FWIW I think mcfoldem's played the best game of the 3 remaining bad guys...with all due respect to bb88 but if you read through his posts a lot of them suggest he has an alternate agenda.

Easy to say this with knowledge I guss - but is fatshaft pushing the TRK is mafia line a bit too much, given that that was the nutjob train of thought?

    • CommentTimeJun 25th 2006

I think what Nut said was that they thought TRK was either mafia or angel. So he'd be happy with a TRK lynch either way.

I think he's pushing too hard on that line, his mistake, if he makes one, will be not backing off when appropriate. He might keep pushing too hard and someone will get suspicious.

The best defense, especially when you're a lone player left, is very often a good offense - but you have to know when to back off. If he gets that part right he may yet pull this out. But there's enough suspicion against him right now that he's going to have a tough road.

Fatshaft is doing one thing well - he's steering possible investigations away from himself and onto others, without being obvious about it.

    Sorry San... .... not bluffing...

Fat thinks TRK and Krazy are mafia.... this may help him and may hurt him...

Bugs is right, if he can step off the gas pedal just a little, it might be fine....

He has a scheduling problem and will be out past the voting deadline...., so a scheduling BREAK may turn into the needed BRAKE....

He also suspects Wynton as mafia some, but thinks he may also be the angel......

the thing that might work in his favor is that he is trying to get (who he thinks) is mafia lynched during the day and kill the angel (or luck into a mafia) at night.....

McFoldem has taken an easier path, but he is buried pretty deep and has done really well with it. It is harder to be very active like Fatshaft and BB and remain above suspicion.

That one made me laugh also San......

In Game 4 he was an innocent and said one of his usual funny Wyntonisms ... and then followed it up with "see mafia, if you keep me around for awhile I'll provide madcap fun like this."

We thought it was pretty funny in the den and really didn't want to kill him - just for THAT reason... later mistakingly thought he was the doctor, so he got killed...

I like how bb88 wasn't afraid to throw the voting out there with his name right on top with 2 votes against him..... nice....

everybody remember this when reading fat's stuff also: He's all by his lonesome in the den and can be.....

    A. lynched
    B. Mafiafied.
    C. Investigated.

    San, I'll answer No. 4 ......

Nside pegged Elmo as mafia on Day 1, but didn't live through that night to get anything going...

We let him live one night just because we thought he should get a chance to play.... mistake. So, we killed him on Night 2....

Cyb had to be away for a day, so Nside took over as Mod and I had to PM him the next night's kill ..... so he knew my mafia status pretty early....

Judging by the reaction he's getting in the thread there's no doubt he's playing a good game...

I think I just have an advantage over most of the players in that I employed more or less the exact strategy fat's using now as a mafia and so it really stands out to me...also I think it's MUCH easier to get a read on possible mafia strategies once you've had the experience of being mafia yourself.

I think he's off to bed ... he says in the Wolf den that he's facing a 6 a.m. wake-up and won't be around for the whole day tomorrow.... (this might be a good thing if he was not investigated)

The Dream chaser is expected to make a pretty good post here in awhile ..... so, we'll see....

plus lots left to vote and/or change ... unless MX comes right out and says he investigated fatshaft....

    10 pm for DC's report
  2.
San: It is hard to say for certain, but I think I would have made you for mafia in that game. I am not sure I would have figured out Nutjob. I find him exceedingly difficult to read. Usually the ones that give me trouble are the dumber players, because I see the logical failures as deception. But Nutjob's style doesn't have to be adjusted much as a bad guy, so he is hard to read. I think he didn't do as well with it in this game, though -- probably due to time pressures, but also because people were more naturally suspicious of him. It is hard for high profile players to win at mafia.

I'd also like to say that I am very impressed by Dreamcatcher. His lists made good sense, his read of bb is great and his reasons are good ones. I also think being willing to lay out such a unique approach as a new guy takes nerve and style. I think I'm really going to like him.

The innocents are in very good shape. They'd be better off if they hit the wolf tonight, but if BB goes tonight, fatshaft almost certainly goes tomorrow. If BB can survive this crisis, the mafia will be in good shape. If he doesn't, it will be a tall order for the last mafia to make it. Even with three dead innocents over the next two days, the numbers will be good for the town.
  3.
Did you notice bb's comment that I'd never say "Suited bb is a mafia player?" That is almost exactly what I said and he knows it. Funny, but unwise.
    • CommentAuthorBugsBunny
    • CommentTimeJun 25th 2006

The only thing is that there's enough people in the town that belive bb is innocent that will see him as innocent no matter what logic is presented. This will eventually change, but I don't think bb goes today. Especially with MX voting for fatshaft - although I'm not sure what's up there yet.

If the town does pull this out DC gets MVP.

skimming DCs case up of bb88 and TRK....

He reminded me of something I wanted to point out early but completely forgot in all the noise ...

bb88's use of the word "Shit" in this game, may well end up putting him in the shitter.

Both cases are really weak IMO. If anything I think the case against TRK may be stronger than the one against BB :)

Based on that I think bb has done a very good job of disguising himself. The reference to "mafia" is obviously a reference to the game not to a role.

Somebody should call him on his Krazy comments, since he had her as the godmother himself.

I think TP may call him on this post as trying to find evidence to fit preconceived notions - which I think is accurate to a certain extent, nowithstanding the fact that he's actually correct in one of the two cases.

Can't believe I'm up ... some drama in the Nut house tonight.... yeeps...

Yeah, his cases were too long for the attention span of players in a thread that already is 7 zazillion pages long...

The problem, although a lot of his points are fantastic ... is that a lot of his points about bb88 are actually considered by most, if not , all ITH players to be signs of innocence.

bb made a pretty good reply, but he shouldn't have stuck with an "us" theme... he should be acting as an independent contractor at all times... because that's what innocents are...

I think this vote will go down to the wire... looking good for the mafia because McFoldem could end up casting the swing vote for a wolf! If he comes with reasons to back his vote, he willl be looking extremely innocent... Even though he is on the radar of NO ONE already....

I decided early on to attempt a play that would, if nothing else get the ball rolling on my investigations. The "Seer" role simply made sense to me. I was looking for a few things:

    - If someone seemed eager to protect me, they could be innocent, or Mafia.

    - If they seemed overly eager to protect me, then I felt a role as Mafia was more likely.

    - If they seemed to ignore me, they could be innocent or Werewolf.

    - If they seemed to go out of their way to discredit my claims, I felt a role as Werewolf was more likely.

    - If they seemed interested in verifying my claims, they could be innocent, Mafia, or Werewolf.

    - If they went out of their way to discover truth to my actions, I felt a role as Mafia or Werewolf was more likely.

These realizations alone were not enough for me to feel comfortable making any decisions early on, but if I found myself leaning one way or another, the way an individual responded to my ploy would help to make a final decision.

In addition, I seem to be able to find more truth during chaos than when everything is "normal." My sincerest apologies to everyone if my actions hindered your ability to track down our enemies.

I think this may have grabbed people's attention if it were posted all by itself or at the start of his case post.

Also, if he HAS NOT played mafia before, this whole thing is pretty impressive in my book...
