    Nothing right now.
  2.
off to bed I go. be back in 9 hrs or so.
  3.
    Morning guys.

    Great Result.

There are some bright guys here and I can imagine that the traitor will try and make himself known to us. For that reason my initial thinking is that San might be the traitor.

I am going to accuse a lot of people today (including you two guys). I am going to try and put some distance between us for the future days. I might also try and get an innocent or two on my side.
  4.
I'll keep posting my thoughts here during the day.

Hitting the doctor would be great but not essential now the detective is dead. There is a better than 1 in 3 chance that the Dr will save one of us tonight anyway (I am including the traitor there and assuming we lynch an innocent today).

I was thinking about whether we could sacrifice one of us in an attempt to secure victory but that might be a future strategy if the innocents start getting a clue about us.

The only way we can really cock up today is
    a) lynch the traitor
or b) give too much away

We are not going to do that.
  5.
I also agree that Nut could be the traitor too.
  6.
Also, I have a feeling that the doctor has posted (he would have told Nside who to protect) and that is why I don't think Suited Jock is anything but a normal innocent.
  7.
I've got a really crazy idea.

We have a good lead at 9-4. Let's say we lynch an innocent today without getting too involved. So the score is 8-4. How about we do not kill anyone tonight? Sounds stupid right? BUT the doctor can save 1 of 11 people, 4 of which are mafia. Let's say he protects one of us. The doctor is suddenly sure that we are an innocent and the game is in the bag. If he protects an innocent then we can keep bringing up names tomorrow and see if anyone leaps to anyone's defence. It gives us a good chance of killing the Dr. What if the Dr elects to save the TRAITOR tonight. He thinks the traitor is innocent, he announces it at some time, we kill the traitor in error (given the odds are he is an innocent) and we should still win the game.

It smells of FPS but it might be really interesting (and we do have a big lead) so the QUESTION FOR NSIDE. If we elect to kill no-one, how will it be typed up overnight. Will it be implied that the Dr must have saved him. IF so, it is at least worth thinking about.

It is a crazy plan, but worth considering. For comedy value, if nothing else.

That's what I thought, it might take the game in a really interesting direction where confusion is everywhere.

My list of possible traitors read:

    San
    Nut
    Pie

Pie was moving against me but then made the post about my comments making EVEN LESS SENSE IF I AM MAFIA

If Nutjob is the traitor it seems he's trying almost too hard to let us know about it. San? Maybe. Pie? At this point, I wouldn't say so, but I'm not done reading the thread.

And are you sure bringing up the COT (or POT) this early on is a good idea?
  10.
That was a joke for game 2 veterans. More importantly, I seem to have gained Cyb and Pie's trust.

After reading Cyb's list on page 18 I'd say he's another strong candidate for being the Traitor. He has no opinion on me, says nothing at all about you Sil (the only one who doesn't get at least a few words), and actually WINKS at Tony. Too obvious?
  11.
Paulie, no offence, I am just creating a distance between us for in the future. There is no chance of you being lynched.

I will type it up in a neutral manner that doesn't say why no one died. I feel sure people will assume that the doctor did it.

morning all, I just got into the office and I have a pretty hectic day today. It is almost 9am my time and I have an appointment at 11:30 and then a web conference at 2pm so I won't be very much available until around 3-3:30 pm my time. I have not read up on the thread yet since I left last night and off to do so in just a few minutes.

Silvio:Paulie, no offence, I am just creating a distance between us for in the future. There is no chance of you being lynched.

I'm going to do some of this myself with you and piggy back on some of the others comments about the discussion of special characters.
  15.
OK guys, I am out now for at least 6 hours.

I suggest that we just let things flow naturally for the next few hours and let the innocents compile the slate for lynching. If it so happens that one of us ends up on it then just ride along (in fact, provided that the vote doesn't look too close, we could actually vote for each other OR make the first vote for one of us).

I've said a lot today and I think most players cannot work out if I'm mafia and stupid or innocent and stupid. However, I do think that they will not have the balls to go against me because of the result for them if they are wrong.

At the end of the day, if one of us get's lynched provided we act accordingly it might cement the game for us. If none of us gets lynched I propose that we kill no-one tonight and watch how crazy things get tomorrow.
  16.
Nice post MX. Come the end of the game nobody is going to believe that you put both of your fellow mafia members in your initial list of 3. Very clever.

As I said, don't worry too much if I get lynched. Just roll with it. In fact, MX why not vote for me now and we'll see how things develop later.
  17.
I don't like both San and Pie going for me already. Keep your eyes out for anyone coming to my defense in some way. I'm more worried about Pie than San as San likes to throw votes around a lot.
  18.
OK, San is not the traitor, and I think pretty comfortably that Pie is not either.

I've thought a bit about not killing anyone tonight, and while it might be fun it's unlikely to help us. First of all the Doctor would have to protect one of us, and I'm not sure how likely that is. If he protects an innocent it doesn't matter that we didn't try to kill anyone - he'll feel sure that an innocent is indeed innocent, and if others trust him that's no good. Even if we get lucky and the Doctor attempts to protect one of us, he still needs to make it to a point, probably fairly late in the game, where he needs to be trusted and be able to influence others. If he's lynched before that, or if we inadvertantly kill him, the whole thing's been a waste of time.

That brings up another thing: for this plan to bear fruit we'll have to avoid trying to kill the Doctor. That seems a bit silly.
  19.
Quick post, I am now out. Can someone (if they get chance) put a running vote score here for me later (copy it from the thread) so that I can make a quick decision on who to vote for.

    Thanks

  20.
ok, i'm back for a bit

I don't like all 3 of us in there, but lots of stuff will change by the end of the day. I think that we have created some distance between us which will be good in the event one of us goes today.

I'm a bit puzzled by pie's list of me and San.....

Mmm, two votes for Pie. Would be nice if he was eliminated, of course, but I don't think we can push it.
  22.
booom, san has pilch as a total innocent or he is the traitor. Me thinks the earlier.
  23.
cic, we cannot bandwagon on at this point. I would love to see him gone, but I think it has to come from one of the inno's. I think that nut is just laying a trap trying to stir up a slip up in us with his second vote.
  24.
    Quote from San:

....The only other scenario i could come up with in my mind re: Pilchard, which I alluded to earleir, was that his posts, including the likes of "SJ i snot a doctor" was meant to be a message to the mafia, making him the traitor. I find that equally unlikely, however.

that last part has me puzzled a little. Is he leaving us a hint? Could he have been laying some cover for himself by challenging me early?

After reading his latest post, San is definitely giving you an out, whether he's the traitor or not.

I'd say give it some more time. Maybe you could drop a hint that you may be changing your vote, that you're considering the options?
  27.
ok, just put a deep cover vote for you cic in the event that I go. This puts you with 2 votes, both from your fellow mafia members :) Should either of us go, you will have a long time coming to you as an innocent.
  28.
    I'm online very briefly.

I am going to go online and change my vote to someone meaningful (away from Cic)

I will not be here to pick a target tonight but I say we go for Suited Jock and just play safe (he is unlikely to be saved and he is unlikely to be the traitor IMO).

However, I am happy to kill whoever you two decide.

I have to go now. Speak to you tomorrow.

PS If SJ gets killed, I suggest going for BB88.

If I die so be it, just put distance between us.

Right, I don't think there's much I can do. I can't switch my vote to bb88 without it looking suspicious, and I can't switch it to someone with just one vote as it would be both incredibly suspicious and pointless. I think we're best off if I just stay with my vote (at least SJ still has two votes..) and Pilchard will come out looking good.

Ah, things looking up with the late vote switches. There is still hope! I think we need to look closer at the possibility of San being the Traitor. He may have saved MX's ass there...
