First thought is without knowing who any of you are) that any of us in danger of being executed should claim Hero, as the king would be reluctant to take that chance, probably.

Of course the problem here is going to be reading the king, since he only gets to cast one vote a day.

A particular problem will arise if the king is anyone remotely tricky. So perhaps you shouldn't insta roleclaim unless you're certain his vote will end up on you.

Other random thoughts:

If one of us gets to be king for a day, should we execute our own, or play simple and take down a villager? Noy sure yet - it certainly depends on teh context of the game.

I guess we dont care mucha bout who the kingmaker is, at least initially. Toward the endgame it will be nice to narrrow him down, especially heading into a final day, because there's a possibility that we can force him into picking a mafia on the last day.

As usual though we are hell-bent on finding the detective / detective(s). Usual clues are being overly defensive of other players, being overly aggressive towards us, and things like "you'll regret lynching me - you'll see". Or there are Darvon style "What should the detective do?" posts - unlikely but possible.

Things to do:

Play innocent when posting.

Attack us. Defend us. Do anything the hell you want to us. Do not be afraid of lynching off all the rest of your team mates if it gives you deep deep cover

Any rule queries should be asked in the game thread. I think a lot of us should post questions in our first posts based on the fact that this game is a new structure that most people will not be familiar with - we do not want innos to think we may have external sourcesx feeding us the info. That said, we probably shouldn't all do so (however many of us there are).

First comment would be that both of TRK and Fojar were mobbed up in their last games and both got lynched. Both should focus on slightly changing their games I think.

TRK - just think of something that typically makes someone a likely mafia candidate that no one's commented on in teh thread and say it - about anyone. One of us if you want - that should be pretty easy :-) Then do the same for as many people as you can. Your image is one of an "useful innocent" so all you need to do is replicate that...don't spout generic comments all day long and you'll avoid the lynch.

I take your last point... but, something I noticed in my last game was that mafia do seem to cluster and there were lots of points in the thread where two or more of us were pinging off each other.

It looked odd to me. Might just have been accidental but it's nothing I've ever noticed in any other game I've played.

Scheduling is tricky for me too at the moment. I'm not exactly on firm ground with the boss so my day time posts may well be sporadic for the rest of this week. Evenings and early mornings should be fine though.

BTW: I hope we all get to live for a while. A San inspired den would be too good to miss!

I have no advice, but it's interesting to see a mobster chosen as the first king.

I've got a funny feeling that Pie may be a special of some description but probably not Kingmaker.

Kingmaker is likely to be someone who wants me on the spot early on, someone who saw my performance in Game 17 and wants to me to repeat it... could be a few: Pizza, NJ, cyb, MX. I think our N1 kill has to come from those four. Though I wouldn't mind killing off MX or cyb today if there's a chance.

there's one thing i'm worried about, and that's that the kingmaker essentially knows who the mafia is after they die, and can choose a new kingmaker based on that info.

basically they get to choose kingmakers who are on the money. if the town figures that out, this will be a short game.
