well irishiain has just signed into IRC - so I think it's safe to assume he's read the thread, SG has been logged into IRC almost all week. SJ hasn't been around and the rumor is he's at work.

    Guys...

Don't forget the whole counting chickens thinkg. A scenario for you. The doctor protects our killee tonight.

    7-5

The detective show up and fingers one of us. Quickly it becomes.

    7-4

    We kill one...

    6-4

    Detective puts out another...

    6-3

So on and so forth. BE CAREFUL!!! The other thing is, odds on we won't be able to push a vote through. We have enough to do it, but we're never all on at the same time.

We can however, split a vote if we need too. :D

I'm confident we will win. Still, a couple of bad moves on our part because we're not thinking it through could still lose the game and make us look like idiots.

That and I want a clean sweep, we all survive.

nside, IF I were the detective, I would have investigated beginning night 2, right? The first hit and day 1 lynching would have taken place before any chance of investigation, correct?

I'm thinking we just play it safe and see how tommorow goes. It's really going to matter what happens with the detective.

Honestly, at this point I really doubt that without the detective's help they will be able to get enough votes on their own to lynch one of us.

I really think if Steve isn't protected were going to have to be either really dumb or really unlucky to win this thing.

Crap, should have told him to hold the killing until tommorow evening. Could have avoided the european lynch mob.

AuPanner asked:<blockquote>IF I were the detective, I would have investigated beginning night 2, right? It's gotta be suited or irish. Any of the others were on at some point before evv was lynched and didn't declare. That or we've killed those that they've investigated.

I do have one strategy post for the day. If they go after one of us. DO NOT DEFEND the other mafioso. We've done a fantastic job of not really linking ourselves together. If we can continue that trend, unless the detective gets very lucky I think this may be over.

With any sort of divided vote we can block together and force a no-lynch. If they do get one of us today, we need to think about who the doc will protect. The chances of the doctor interfering are building. If you were the doc, would you defend someone who has been quiet in the forlorn hope it's the detective, or is the detective getting increaswingly louder as he tries to influence the vote? That seems to me to be the only hope left for them in the game is for the doc to defend against a hit.

If I were the doc I'd bet McFoldem or cic was the det. They have been more accurate than toom and more active than irish. Therefore, I say we avoid hitting either one of those and hit toom, SJ, or spoonie.

That sounds good to me. If the detective comes out we'll need to go after the doctor since he can't protect himself.

Here's a defense if it looks like one of us is getting close to being lynched: declare yourself the doctor! The real doc can't come forward - we'd kill him and he knows it. It may influence one person not to vote for you and that's all we need. It'd go something like this: "I can't save myself from this lynching, but if you don't lynch me I can save one person tonight. I'm the doctor. If I stop the mafia from hitting the detective tonight we have a small chance because he might be close to finding enough mafia to really hurt them. Please don't lynch me, for I'll die tonight saving one of you."

    nside,

    yesterday you said:

"There are currently 11 players which includes 5 mafia members, one detective, one doctor and 4 regular innocents. The count is 6-5. 6-5 is a very special situation for the town. If the town fails to lynch a mafia member, they are very likely to have lost control of their town. If they hit an innocent their only hope will be if the doctor is able to protect someone."

I don`t understand the last sentence. If they hit an innocent, the count would be 5-5. Shouldn`t the game be over then?
  3.
You are right. If he's innocent, the game is over.

The town is playing wrong, I think. They vote very quickly, allowing us to close the voting and the game if toom isn`t mafia. They have plenty of time today - so why not wait for the detective to come out?
